I currently research pilot-wave hydrodynamics at Yale's Primkulov Labin the Mechanical Engineering department.
Pilot-wave hydrodynamics is a rich model system for active matter. Here is what I have done/am currently doing in the lab:
Leading investigation into the kinematics and transition boundaries of intermittent walkers in non-resonant regimes, serving as primary author on an upcoming manuscript for submission
Developing a comprehensive, open-source hydrodynamic dataset by engineering automated MATLAB image processing pipelines to fully characterize multi-scale droplet dynamics - extracting high-fidelity velocity, acceleration, 2D spatiotemporal trajectories, and impact phase data
Developed a real-time data acquisition and control system in MATLAB to synchronize high-frequency accelerometer feedback with electromagnetic shaker inputs; maintained precise vibrational forcing to study droplet stability.
Designed and fabricated a custom Helmholtz coil to generate uniform, homogeneous magnetic fields for ferrofluid droplet experiments
